Note: A Description can be a:
Casting Record (SOP = "Stamped on Part") or
Superseded Number (U followed by Part Number)
as well as used to describe the part you are looking for.
Check the Abbreviation List above for description abbreviations.
Example 2: Putting in the first digits of a numerical sequence - (4097) will begin with the number 4097502 and continue on to the end of this sequence. Or 0866 will yield 0866050 and the rest of that sequence.
